PET FIT GUIDE

How to Measure Your Pet

Your pet should be able to sit, lay in a curled position, stand, and turn around in the crate but it should also be a snug fit to ensure safety.

(1) Length: Measure pet from tip of nose to base of tail. Pet should be no more than 32 in long.

(2) Height: Measure pet from shoulder blade (also known as withers*) to feet. Pet should be no more than 21 in tall.

Weight Capacity: Your pet should weight no more than 100 lbs (If using the crate divider, the combined pet weight should be no more than 100 lbs).

*Important Note: Withers height does not include the dog's head. Some dogs may exceed the 21.7 inch interior height of the crate when standing naturally. A seated hunched position is acceptable.

You know your pet best, and we trust that you will select a crate size that accurately reflects their measurements and temperament. In most cases withers height and weight is a good indicator of a dog's size, but every pet is different and can vary.

Vehicle Fit Guide

How to Measure Your Vehicle

Don’t know if Everett will fit? Use our guide below to measure your vehicle.

STEP-BY-STEP HOW TO MEASURE

Note: Before measuring, set your vehicle seatback recline to its most upright position if it’s adjustable.

Step 1: Floor depth of cargo space

Measure the floor depth (rear of the vehicle seat back to the bottom of the hatch).

This measurement should be at minimum 33 in (83.8 cm).

Step 2: Seat depth of cargo space

Measure from the top of the vehicle seat back to the hatch. This is a useful measurement, as some vehicles have steep rear window angles that could contact the top edge of the crate. It is important to ensure your vehicle hatch is clear of the crate.

This measurement should be at minimum 20 in (50.8 cm).

Note: This measurement varies due to the seat back angle, height, and relationship to the glass location. Please refer to your vehicle manufacturer if needed.

Step 3: Length of cargo space

Measure the narrowest point of your floor length (side to side), this is usually where the wheel wells are.

This measurement should be at minimum 38 in (96.5 cm) long.

Note: Please ensure there aren’t any intrusions into the space that would contact the upper part of the crate.

Step 4: Height of cargo

Measure the height of the trunk space (floor to the lowest ceiling point).

This measurement should be at minimum 30 in (76.2 cm).

Step 5: Locating vehicle anchor bars

Four vehicle anchor points are required for a proper fitment. Please refer to the Everett manual for proper tie-down instructions.
